WestWord Prize 2025 Shortlist
The stories we’ll be publishing are...
Well done to everyone who made the longlist for the 2025 WestWord Prize. All 18 stories had so much about them that we loved. It has been hard to choose the finalists that have gone through to the judge and that will be published in WestWord next month. And we are really sad that one of our favourites, which all readers voted to put through to the shortlist, was withdrawn just before we made this announcement!
So HUGE congrats to the writers of the following stories — and good luck for the final judging round! It’s all down to our judge, Sara Hills, now to choose the winners of the top 3 cash prizes.
