Edition 5 - April 2024
Welcome to the latest edition of WestWord. This issue feels very balanced as it features just six stories, two of which are micro fictions, two flash fictions and two short stories. The theme for this edition is Faith and we love what these writers have done with it.
Having faith that things can better, and faith in yourself, are at the heart of all of these stories, which take us from a drought-ridden future to a stress-filled present day office, to a religious community, and to motorists stranded at the side of the road.
There is great humour, great loss, and great strength to be found in these stories as well as the wonderfully surreal. Gratitude to the writers for sending them to WestWord.
