Many thanks to everyone who sent us a story inspired by the prompt TEAR this month. We received 45 submissions so the cash prizes are £49 for first place and £32 for second. Plus the winner of the People’s Prize vote gets a secret prize revealed along with the results!

This is the final competition of the summer as we have August off and resume again in September. When there will be a slight change to the competition and after feedback from our members of the Retreat West community.
The word count will no longer change each month and will be a maximum of 150 a month, every month. We’ll mix up the prompts a bit too so they’ll be images, words, genres, and themes.
