We are delighted to bring you eight wonderful stories on the theme of identity in our latest edition.
Thanks to everyone who sent in their stories. We loved reading all the different takes on the theme and were so sad to lose a couple of wonderful submissions that were accepted elsewhere just before we were about to accept them too!
According to Psychology Today’s article on identity theory, the ultimate goal for people is to develop and nurture choices that feel consistent with their true self but most often we adopt the personas and lifestyles our culture conditions us to. We think these 8 stories have explored this in really interesting ways and we hope you enjoy them as much as we do.
Please do let the authors know in the comments beneath their stories if you do.
And if you’re not feeling festive yet, our Christmas Countdown starts on Tuesday 10th December and we’ll be bringing you 10 seasonal stories advent calendar style with the writers’ prizes being revealed on publication.
Submissions for Edition 8 will open in January.
With love,
